Our client based in north Cork is looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join their growing team. In this role, you will oversee all commercial aspects within your portfolio and play a pivotal role in business strategy.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the product assortment within your portfolio to ensure a competitive and innovative product range.
2. Optimize inventory levels to avoid stockouts and minimize excess stock.
3. Lead negotiations on terms, conditions, pricing, bid evaluations, and delivery charges to ensure optimal cost efficiencies.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in purchasing in a fast-paced environment.
3. Proven purchasing experience, with a track record of maintaining strong supplier relationships.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial decisions.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence positive outcomes.
