Background
Darta Saving Life Assurance dac, trading as Allianz Darta Saving, ("Allianz Darta", "We" or the "Company") is authorised in Ireland to transact life assurance business in the European Union ("EU") under the 2015 Regulations. The Company operates on a Freedom of Services basis.
The Company mainly distributes unit-linked products through Allianz Bank Financial Advisors SpA. ("Allianz Bank") in Italy. In addition, a small number of Private Insurance portfolio bond products and unit-linked products are sold through other non-Allianz channels in Italy.
Allianz Darta's Reserving Function will be outsourced to Allianz SpA in Italy from Q3 2025.
Main Purpose of Job:
The position holder reports to the Head of Actuarial Function.
Oversight and compliance with reserving activities and plays a key role in providing Allianz Darta with oversight of the reserving services as carried out within Allianz SpA. Work spans all Solvency II and IFRS17 (profit) actuarial reporting as well as supporting various projects as they arise.
Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:
* Relationship management and oversight of workflow assignment to the outsourced Actuarial provider the Allianz SpA
* Oversight of Actuarial interaction with the Product Development team, ensuring new product proposals are reviewed and have been implemented appropriately within the actuarial reporting framework
* Reviewing the production and validation of results used in Solvency Il and IFRS17 actuarial reporting, including monitoring appropriateness of methodologies and models
* Interaction with finance related executive management including HOAF, CFO, CRO, HOPD etc
* Contribution to the preparation of Regulatory and Group Reporting, as appropriate (ARTP and inputs into IFRS17, SFCR, RSR, MVBS)
* Review and challenge of reports/presentations explaining the change in reserves over the month/quarter
* Review and challenge the annual assumption setting exercise and the preparation of corresponding reports
* Support the annual review of the appropriateness of reinsurance arrangements
* Review and challenge the production of the annual Actuarial Function Report and IFRS Reporting Actuary's Report;
* Support the annual assessment of the underwriting policy and associated processes
* Co-ordination of Reserve Committee.

The work undertaken is technical and requires calculations and workings to be conducted within a controlled environment. Communication of results requires accuracy, attention to detail and importantly tailoring work to the needs of the recipient. A primary measure of performance is how the individual delivers on these requirements. The position holder is expected to display the skills of questioning, spotting errors and explaining results - taking ownership of the quality of delivery.
