An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiographer Aide to join the Diagnostic Imaging Department at Bon Secours Hospital Cork. This is a permanent, full-time position within a busy, supportive, and patient-focused environment, offering excellent exposure to a wide range of imaging specialties.
The Radiology service at Bon Secours Hospital Cork works in close partnership with a very busy Oncology unit, elective Orthopaedics, Pain Management services, and a Medical Assessment Unit. The department provides imaging across a broad range of specialties, making it a particularly rewarding place to work due to the variety of patient profiles and clinical experience.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a stimulating healthcare setting with strong potential for learning, development, and career progression. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The Role
As a Radiographer Aide, you will support Radiographers and the wider team in delivering a high-quality diagnostic imaging service, while ensuring a positive and compassionate experience for patients.
Person Specification
Essential / Desirable Criteria:
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent (pass in at least 6 subjects)
* Previous experience in a Radiography Department is desirable
* A keen interest in working in a caring, patient-focused profession
* Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Fluency in English
* Computer literacy
* Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to use initiative
