About the Role:
We are a leading design and build contractor specialising in large-scale water and wastewater utility projects. Our Large Contracts team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions for our clients. We are looking for a skilled and experienced electrician to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our major projects in Cork.
As part of our growing team, you will be responsible for the electrical installation and commissioning activities on municipal, industrial wastewater treatment plants and drinking water treatment plants.
A highly varied, challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
* Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
* Cable containment and cabling installations for electrical upgrade works on General Services, Site Lighting, Motors, Pumps & Instrumentation.
* Installation of or replacement of MCC Panels (Form 2 & Form 4) and General Services Distribution Panels.
* Ensure all electrical work complies with Irish electrical regulations and safety standards.
* Collaborate with Engineers, Project Managers, and other team members to ensure project success.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
* Provide technical support and guidance to apprentices and less experienced electricians.
* Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Key Competencies and Skills:
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including general services, emergency lighting, control panels, motors, and PLCs.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Good knowledge of National Rules for Electrical Installations (I.S. 10101:2020)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
* Fully qualified electrical trade certs.
* Safe Pass & Manual Handling.
* Full EU/ Irish driving licence.
