The Role
EHS International is recruiting an experienced Health & Safety professional for a contract placement with a manufacturing client in North Cork. The role is a 2–3 day per week commitment, interim in nature, with a clearly defined scope and support from the EHS International team.
This position requires a credible, self‑sufficient H&S professional who can operate effectively at management level and build genuine trust with people on the ground. Responsibilities include owning the site’s H&S function during the interim period, maintaining standards, leading audits and investigations, managing the risk assessment programme, and ensuring a structured handover to the incoming permanent appointment.
What You Bring
Minimum 5 years in a dedicated Health & Safety role, with experience in manufacturing, process, or production environments
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence at all levels — from operative to senior management
Competency in risk assessment, audit leadership, incident investigation, and HSA interaction
Relevant H&S qualification — NFQ Level 7 minimum; NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent preferred
Available to commit 2–3 days per week on‑site in North Cork
