We are looking for an experienced Site Foreman to join our team in Roscommon.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Ensure full compliance with the company Safety Statement, HSQE Management Systems, and site-specific requirements.
Oversee and control health and safety practices on site, including subcontractor activities.
Support the preparation of RAMS in conjunction with the Site Agent/Project Manager.
Deliver and document toolbox talks, SPA briefings, and site inductions.
Maintain site records for inductions, permits, RAMS, and other compliance documentation.
Conduct at least one HSQE inspection monthly via PowerApps.
Quality
Interpret and implement project quality requirements from drawings and specifications.
Monitor works to ensure high standards, address defects promptly, and obtain client sign-off.
Raise NCRs for defective work and share lessons learned across the team.
Environmental
Ensure valid Waste Management Permits are in place.
Monitor and control site activities to prevent environmental impact.
Planning & Coordination
Manage site labour, subcontractors, plant, and equipment.
Contribute to and deliver lookahead programmes, ensuring milestones are achieved.
Monitor budgets, productivity, and resource allocation to maximise efficiency.
Liaise effectively with stakeholders and mentor junior staff.
Documentation & Reporting
Ensure all documentation (RAMS, SPA's, permits, etc.) is in place before works commence.
Maintain accurate records including site diaries, labour returns, and plant returns.
Attend and contribute to site meetings, providing progress updates.
Track and close out HSQE inspection actions.
Commercial Awareness
Monitor costs, productivity, and material usage to control contract spend.
Assess the impact of overruns, variations, and delays on programme and costs.
Identify and report variations or delays promptly.
People Management
Supervise and coordinate site teams to ensure work is completed per schedule and standards.
Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and management.
Proactively resolve on-site issues, minimising disruptions and conflicts.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' relevant construction experience in Ireland or the UK.
Proven track record delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Completion of the Site Safety Supervisor Programme (or equivalent).
Full clean driving licence.
Strong written and spoken English (essential).
