IT Manager – Permanent
Cork based – first 6 months 5 days a week, after that hybrid model.
Salary: 90-100k plus excellent package (bonus, pension, healthcare etc).
Digital Transformation & Business Information Systems
Lead and deliver digitalisation initiatives across operational excellence, quality management, training, communications, and governance.
Translate user requirements into clear technical specifications and implement solutions within agreed timelines.
Manage the full lifecycle of BIS and digital tools – from scoping through rollout and optimisation.
Evaluate processes, performance, and change readiness, feeding insights into Continuous Improvement systems.
Project & Delivery Management
Manage the digital transition roadmap, provide weekly progress updates, identify issues, and control risks.
Apply a structured, programmatic approach to delivery while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.
Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices that support organisational growth.
IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity
Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, availability, and secure operations.
Oversee data integrity, system updates, access management, and risk controls.
Conduct regular IT audits and translate findings into actionable improvements.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent.
6-8 years' experience in IT systems, Business Information Systems, or Software Engineering within a private enterprise environment.
Experience administering ERP, CRM, or business applications.
Salesforce, Odoo, Dynamics, SAP B1 is welcome.
Project management experience with exposure to senior stakeholder reporting.
Technical Capability Across
Database infrastructure development
Must have Microsoft 365 / Azure AD (identity, access control, conditional access, MFA)
Networking fundamentals (firewalls, VLANs, routing, VPN)
Enterprise repository or ERP platforms administration
Endpoint protection and device management (Intune desirable)
Cloud application security and compliance
Foundational cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2)
