We’re delighted to be working with a leading global reinsurer to support the expansion of theirNon-Life Reserving team.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary with a minimum of three years’ reserving experience to join a highly regarded actuarial function within an international, collaborative environment.
About the Role
You’ll work as part of a high-performing global reserving team responsible for the non-life reinsurance portfolio outside of the Americas. The role offers exposure to a wide range of business lines and the opportunity to collaborate with underwriting, pricing, claims, and finance functions. As a Reserving Actuary, you’ll be involved in deep dive reserve reviews, quarterly closing processes, and initiatives to drive innovation and automation in actuarial processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support deep dive reserve reviews across international non-life reinsurance portfolios
* Contribute to the determination of Actuarial Central Estimates and Management Best Estimates
* Assist in the quarterly financial close process, ensuring accuracy in reserving figures
* Enhance reserving processes through automation and data-led improvements
* Communicate reserving insights effectively with underwriting, pricing, claims, and finance teams
Candidate Profile
* Qualified Actuary with experience in non-life reserving
* Reinsurance experience or exposure to underwriting teams is an advantage
* Strong Excel skills required (VBA knowledge a plus); experience with ResQ preferred
* Familiarity with data systems and programming languages (e.g. R, Python) is beneficial
