Our client, a well‑established construction company based in Nenagh, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. Working across a range of construction projects, this role offers the opportunity to take real ownership of your work and play a key part in the company’s continued success.
Responsibilities
 * Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation for a variety of construction projects.
 * Take ownership of cost control, including tracking budgets, forecasting, and preparing regular cost reports.
 * Support the procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers, including reviewing quotations and negotiating terms.
 * Visit sites periodically to verify progress, assess variations, and monitor costs.
 * Prepare and agree valuations, variations, and final accounts in line with company and client procedures.
 * Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
 * Provide accurate commercial and contractual advice throughout the project lifecycle.
 * Maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Requirements
 * Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
 * Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within a main or subcontractor environment.
 * Background in concrete, civil, or general construction projects preferred.
 * Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts, procurement, and cost management practices.
 * Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
 * Proficiency in MS Office and experience using CostX, Buildsoft, or similar software.
