We are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Consultant to join our Health and Safety Consulting team, supporting the growth and exciting project pipeline of our client. Our client is renowned for significant projects across various markets including Buildings, Water, Aviation, Energy, Transportation, and Rail. The Health and Safety Consulting team based in Ireland currently employs full-time specialist consultants delivering high-quality safety advisory services to in-house teams and clients, particularly in roles fulfilling PSDP duties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver PSDP duties as outlined in the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
* Evaluate designs and designer risk assessments for compliance with H+S legislation.
* Attend design coordination meetings, site meetings, and stakeholder meetings.
* Coordinate residual hazards and risks.
* Provide expert advice to clients and designers on compliance with legislation and best practice.
* Offer safety support to internal and external teams on projects of varying scale and complexity.
* Manage contractor safety and review contractor safety documentation.
* Manage dedicated projects, including finance requirements.
* Provide general health and safety consultancy services to clients.
* Support health and safety aspects in project bids.
* Offer technical support to office projects in design safety, including coordination of design safety.
* Develop existing and new clients as part of our 'win work' strategy.
* Apply principles of quality assurance and environmental management, adhering to the organization's policies.
* Assist the QSSE team in improving safety culture and key safety programs.
Skills and Experience:
* Strong knowledge of safety in design and construction safety.
* Experience in developing and enhancing company safety policies, culture, and systems.
* Competent report writing with good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks concurrently across several projects.
* Flexibility to travel to sites and projects within Ireland.
Your Qualifications:
* Relevant Health and Safety Degree/Diploma qualifying for IOSH membership or an Engineering Degree recognized by Engineers Ireland with post-qualification Safety specific training.
* Certificate of attendance at Engineers Ireland/ACEI PSDP CPD training.
