Role Summary The Service actively promotes multidisciplinary team working, continuing professional development and innovation in Community Psychiatric Nursing. This includes Nurse prescribing and Advanced Nurse Practitioners roles for those people wishing to advance their education, responsibilities and skills. The CMHN has a pivotal role in the delivery of effective, recovery orientated, high quality, team based, integrated care for individuals with mental health problems. The purpose of the role is also to provide assessment and support to the individual through the delivery of appropriate treatment and recovery orientated interventions to support care in the community working towards reduction in the need for acute hospitalization. Minimum Requirements Registered in the Psychiatric Nurses Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Note: Post holders must maintain annual registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Have at least 5 years post registration experience in the Psychiatric/Mental Health Services as a registered Psychiatric Nurse. Have a minimum of 2 year's experience in the specialist area of practice as defined in the Post Specific requirements of the job description. Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. Have successfully completed a post registration programme of study relevant to the specialist area of practice. as certified by the education provider, which verifies that the applicant has achieved a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 8 or higher award maintained by Quality & Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) or can provide written evidence from the Higher Education Institute that they have achieved the number of ECTS credits equivalent to a Level 8 or higher standard in a health care or management relevant to the specialist area of practice. Remuneration Salary Grade 2301 COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH NURSE on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale €61,463 - €77,666 per annum pro rata Initial location The initial location of this role is Lucena Rathgar. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS's other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
