The role
Social Care Worker (Abbeyfield)
Location: Killester, Dublin, IrelandContract Type: Permanent Whole‑timeSalary: €40,351 – €56,650 per annum (39‑hour week)
Responsibilities
Provide positive behaviour and person‑centred support to a minimum of five individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Work closely with the Social Care Leader, a multi‑disciplinary team and families to deliver high‑quality service.
Implement and review positive behaviour support plans.
Promote independence and community integration for residents.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care plans and progress.
Support residents in daily living activities and vocational training services.
Essential Criteria For Applicants
Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual disability and autism.
Experience working as part of a team.
Experience implementing positive behaviour support plans.
Experience in a key role focusing on promoting independence and community integration.
Excellent communication skills.
Full clean driver’s licence and willingness to drive as part of the role.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Essential Qualifications Required
QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) or equivalent Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by an Institute of Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland.
Coru registration or application for Coru registration under Section 91 with a recognised qualification.
