Overview:
My Client are a global materials science and digital identification solutions company with a presence in 50 countries. They manufacture different types of labelling used in various different industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and healthcare industries.
They are expanding their team in their Longford site and they are looking to add an EHS Specialist. This is a full time permanent position. They would be open to a graduate for this position also.
Key Responsibilities:
1. As the EHS Specialist, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to implementing programs and developing facility specific procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory and Company requirements.
2. Integration of Company and facility level EHS management systems to maintain compliance, environmental protection and safe operating conditions.
3. Tracking and regularly reporting the status of regulatory compliance and improvement initiatives.
4. Use a structured processes score card to measure and communicate Safety/Environmental performance with both leading results and indicators.
5. Maintaining all relevant logs, and all other governmental and corporate database records.
6. Coordinating and controlling an effective accident prevention program.
7. Implementing education and training to support regulatory and business requirements.
8. Function as the contractor-plant representative to ensure compliance of all Process Safety Management (PSM) related requirements from contractors.
9. Acting as a resource and coach to facility safety teams.
10. Conducting periodic inspections of plant machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure conformance to appropriate safety and sanitary standards and regulations.
11. Driving continuous improvement and delivering strong results from behavioral based processes.
What We're Looking For:
12. Min. of 5 years experience in EHS with a relevant qualification.
13. Demonstrated experience of sophisticated work assignment or educational project getting results on EHS work assignments with progressive complexity, depth and scope.
14. Advanced professional EHS certification preferred but not required.
15. Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures and programs.
16. Good Project/Problem Resolution skills.
17. Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and function specific software.
18. Think strategically and have strong leadership skills with good interpersonal communications.
