Role: Quantity SurveyorLocation: Athlone, County Westmeath (onsite, possibility of hybrid)Type: Permanent Salary DOEPlease note you must be based in Ireland, and have valid working rights in Ireland to be considered for this position.Parker Stewart are working with a well known Public, Civil Engineering, Building & Private specialist contractor based in Westmeath to hire a Quantity Surveyor. This position will primarily be onsite at the Westmeath location with some flexibility to work from home.Key duties:Participate in procurement of specialist trades for the project and make appointment recommendations to the project director.Assist in the drafting of subcontract Agreements.Receive, assess, and settle subcontract interim valuations and final accounts.Review developing design information and advise the wider project team of the cost implications in good time.Identify and advise the wider project team of value engineering opportunities.Complete monthly valuations for submission to the Employer's Representative and agree said valuations.Skills / Experience required:A level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying or above, or equivalentMin. 3+ Years' experience in a similar role within the construction/engineer sectorGood written and oral communication skills with emphasis on ability to provide and explain reports accuratelyA proven track record in dealing with Subcontractors and ClientsGood problem-solving skillsA reasonable knowledge of current forms of Agreement for the industryPlease apply with your CV in the strictest of confidence.
