major development project on the outskirts of Cork City
— a multi-phase scheme that will play a key role in the future growth of the region.
To support this, we are seeking a
Site Engineer
who will play a central role in the project's successful delivery.
The Role:
As a Site Engineer, you will be at the heart of our site operations, working closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily construction activities.
You will be responsible for technical oversight, site coordination, and ensuring all works meet the required quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting out, surveying, and levelling the site with precision.
Managing site activities in line with the construction programme, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project plans.
Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth delivery of works.
Monitoring and recording progress, ensuring quality control checks are carried out and documented.
Supporting health, safety, and environmental compliance on site.
Preparing reports and updating site records for management and client review.
Assisting with problem-solving on site, addressing unforeseen challenges promptly and effectively.
Acting as a key point of contact for engineers, architects, and consultants.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 2+ years' experience as a Site Engineer on medium to large-scale projects.
Strong knowledge of setting-out techniques and use of surveying equipment (e.g., GPS, Total Station).
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Full driving licence and flexibility to travel to site as required.
