Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our childcare team. Our children's project cares for socially excluded, marginalized children and families impacted by addiction.
Key Responsibilities:
* To support the lead practitioners for our preschool and afterschool services.
* To provide support to children and families struggling with addiction.
* To develop and implement programs that respond to the needs of children and families in the service working in partnership with families and other organizational bodies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience of working with children and families.
* A minimum QQI level 6 qualification in childcare or equivalent.
* Experience of working with preschool and school-aged children.
* Experience of working in partnership with families and carers.
* Experience of planning, implementing, and reviewing programs with children and/or families.
* Good knowledge of quality frameworks such as Aistear and Síolta.
Benefits:
* This role requires the practitioner to work 18 hours per week.
* The weekly shifts will include 4 shifts of 4.5 hours (9:00 – 13:30).
* The practitioner will need to be somewhat flexible and may need to cover in the room for a full day from time to time but will be given notice for such events.
