Position Overview
The Investment Operations Senior Analyst/Associate will work on the cash and liquidity management for various investor facing funds managed by StepStone and assist in onboarding new funds to StepStone's Private Debt Platform.
The Senior Analyst/Associate will be in contact with professionals across the company and will work with different external service providers.
Essential Job Functions
Run daily cash reports to assess the need for cash actions in the form of Money Market Fund (MMF) subscriptions/redemptions, FX spots/swaps, credit line draws/repayments and investor capital calls
Prepare and arrange for execution of MMF subscription/redemptions
Prepare and arrange for execution of FX spots/swaps with different FX providers
Prompt credit line draws/repayments and liaise with the dedicated credit line team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of requests to various credit line providers
Assist on whether expiring credit line loans should be rolled or matured
Assist with the calculation of investor capital calls, prepare internal approvals and share final numbers with external administrators
Assist in the onboarding of new funds by opening bank accounts, onboarding service providers, update trackers and logs
Work on enhancement of existing reports to help automate and streamline cash checks
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
For the position at hand, we seek applicants with 2–5 years work experience and a bachelor's degree from a top-tier college or university.
The following factors will be a benefit for the potential candidates
2-5 years of relevant experience in Middle office or other investment fund related role is preferred but not necessary
Experience in Private Debt is a plus
Demonstrates commitment, accuracy and attention to detail, even in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities assigned
Ability to prioritize activities while working towards multiple daily deadlines and cut-offs
Highly motivated with a willingness to learn
Passion for fast-paced learning, especially in a technology-enabled environment
Good analytical skills with a flair for processes as well as good IT skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
