Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting an enthusiastic and dependable Catering Assistant to join our temp team for a variety of shifts across County Clare, primarily in Shannon, Ennis and Tulla
With shifts between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00, this is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide range of catering environments, including hotels, restaurants, healthcare facilities and corporate settings. Ideal for candidates looking to build experience or enjoy flexible working hours.
Responsibilities of a Catering Assistant
1. Assist with basic food preparation while maintaining food hygiene and safety standards.
2. Serve meals and beverages in a professional and friendly manner.
3. Keep kitchen, dining and service areas clean and orderly.
4. Replenish food stations and ensure serving areas are well-stocked.
5. Support chefs and kitchen teams with day-to-day tasks.
6. Engage positively with customers and handle basic queries.
7. Operate as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team.
Requirements of a Catering Assistant
8. Previous experience in a catering, food service or hospitality
9. Food Safety and Manual Handling certificates (training can be provided)
10. A team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
11. Good communication and time management skills
12. Barista experience is a bonus.
13. Access to reliable transport (own or public)
