Hotel Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the operation of the hotel during scheduled shifts
* Manage and motivate staff, upholding a constant level of staff productivity
* Provide ongoing staff training in coffee, wine and food items
* Respond to customer queries and complaints
* Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
* Deliver superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
* Appraise personnel performance and provide feedback to keep them upbeat and productive
* Control costs and minimize waste
* Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example
* Comply with all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
* Minimum 2-3 years experience as a manager in a relevant 3-4 star property essential
* Be a hands-on, natural leader who enjoys leading from the front
* Passion for quality food & drink
* Strong communicator with a high level of initiative
* Must be available to work afternoons, evenings and weekends
* Level-headed/sensible and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable
* Ability to work flexibly under pressure with a good sense of humour
* Approachable with excellent people skills
* Superior customer service skills
* Strong understanding of business management
* Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources
