Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong backend expertise and solid React front end capabilities.
The role focuses primarily on Java Spring Boot API development, while contributing to modern React based user interfaces.
You will design and build scalable, cloud native applications running in Microsoft Azure, working closely with architects, product managers, data engineering teams, and other senior engineers.
This position requires confidence working within microservices architectures and a strong focus on API design, quality, and maintainability.

RESPONSIBILITIESFrontend - React Design and develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React and Type Script Build reusable UI components aligned with established design systems Optimise performance, accessibility, and cross browser compatibility Collaborate with UX and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences Backend - Java / Spring Boot Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot Develop secure and scalable microservices with well defined API contracts Apply best practices for exception handling, validation, logging, and observability Write high quality unit, integration, and contract tests Cloud, Eventing and Data Develop and deploy services within Microsoft Azure Integrate event driven components using Event Hubs and or Kafka Work closely with data engineering teams, demonstrating understanding of Databricks, ADSL, and Snowflake Contribute to architectural decisions around scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency REQUIREMENTS6+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot, particularly API and microservices development Proven experience delivering production grade React applications Confident working within microservices architectures Experience deploying and managing services in Azure Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a close knit team
