The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader within the European Data Centre sector as a Data Analyst - Business Development. Alternative Heat specialise in the design, offsite prefabrication and onsite installation of prefabricated mechanical and electrical services for new build Data Centre projects throughout Europe, with a core focus on mechanical fit-out and supply of packaged mechanical and electrical plantrooms.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to integrate a Data Analyst - Business Development to support our growing team within the European Data Centre sector, where sector turnover set to exceed £100m per annum.

Role

Reporting to the Lead Development Manager, you will be an essential part of the Business Development Team, responsible for assisting in the preparation of accurate reporting and analytics. You will be joining a key team experiencing significant growth and traction in the marketplace.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analysing sales data to support business development and operational efficiency. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data management tools, and the ability to communicate insights effectively.

Location - Dundalk Office

Hours - 38 hours. 8.00am to 5.00pm Mon to Thurs & 8.00am to 3.00pm Friday

Salary - Competitive depending on experience

Responsible to - Lead Development Manager

Core Responsibilities of role:

* Updating monthly sales trackers: Maintain and update sales trackers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of company sales performance.
* Preparing and issuing internal monthly Business Development reports: Compile and distribute monthly Business Development reports for the Data Centre business unit, highlighting key metrics and insights.
* Reviewing and streamlining CRM systems: Evaluate and enhance the current CRM and CRM reporting systems to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
* Reporting operational value streams: Update and manage operational value streams for expected works on a monthly basis, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Capacity forecasting: Forecast live and expected works for teams and facilities, optimizing resource allocation and project planning.
* Utilization of Power BI: Develop and maintain sales dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize data and support decision-making.
* Sector-Specific Reports: Prepare detailed reports on industry trends, growth projections, and capacity analysis for various sectors within the Data Centre industry.
* Data Collection and Integration: Gather and integrate data from various sources to ensure comprehensive and accurate analysis in support of the business development and operational teams.
* Estimate analysis: Analyse Alternative Heat’s commercial proposals and carry out cost comparisons against historical pricing.
* Sales Strategy Support: Provide data-driven insights to support the development and execution of sales strategies.
* Collaborate with senior managers and line managers to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable insights.
* Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Required skills

* Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
* Power BI Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.
* Forecasting and Planning: Ability to forecast capacity and resource needs accurately, ensuring efficient project execution.
* Report Writing: Excellent report writing skills to communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
* CRM Management: Proficiency in managing and optimizing CRM systems to enhance data quality and reporting capabilities.
* Excel Mastery: Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas.
* Project Management: Strong project management skills to coordinate and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to present data insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within the construction industry.
* Proven track record of managing and analyzing sales data to drive business growth.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
