Background to the Sales & Marketing Director role

As a result of the recent and continued investment, the Irish group is very well-positioned to continue on a growth trajectory with a number of differentiating services to further enhance their proposition in the market.

The next strategic priority is a growth focused agenda including the appointment to a newly created role of Sales & Marketing Director to join as a key member of the Executive Management team.

This will ensure a strong and aligned C-suite to work with the talented existing senior managers and employee base.


Key Priorities of the role

* The Sales & Marketing Director will have both a strategic focus and a short term transformational goal. Developing the e-commerce proposition is a key priority where the appointee can gain real traction by driving growth for the online sales channel for the group’s customer facing brands.
* Enhancement of company brands including the positioning, impact, and functionality of the company websites for the company brands.
* Development of a Digital Marketing plan to ensure that promotion of the products, services, partnerships, projects and success stories across the social media platforms is optimised.


Responsibilities

* Lead the development and delivery of the Marketing strategy which is aligned to the Group’s overall strategic plans, and which enhances customer acquisition and retention.
* Within the overall Marketing strategy, develop and lead the implementation of an effective digital marketing plan acknowledging the need for a specific trade and separate retail customer focus.
* Manage and develop the existing Marketing team to ensure the group function is optimised.
* Conduct a detailed analysis of the current eCommerce platforms (3 websites) to determine fitness for purpose and propose improvement plans that will enhance the customer experience and generate additional revenue for the Group.
* Lead and manage the investment in implementing changes to the current eCommerce platforms.
* Assess and rejuvenate employer branding to help retain and attract talent.
* Work closely with other Executive Management team members to drive the marketing agenda across the group and to deliver on the key priorities of the role.


Preferred skills and qualifications

* Third Level Degree in Marketing or related discipline
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior Marketing management role, within a €100m+ or larger business, and preferably with multi-site experience. Experience in Retail or Construction related industries would be advantageous.
* Strong Digital Marketing experience including responsibility for the development of an online sales channel.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to represent the business at a senior level.
* Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
* Experienced People Management experience with the ability to drive, motivate, and develop team members.
* Demonstrated experience in people leadership and team management, with a focus on inspiring and motivating teams to achieve common goals.
* Financial acumen and proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.


Location & Reporting lines

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Irish Group operates a hybrid working policy. The role can be based at one of Group’s branch offices nationwide, to suit proximity to the candidate’s home.


Remuneration

* An attractive base salary, Executive Company Car, Annual Bonus Scheme, Pension, Healthcare and other benefits commensurate with the candidate’s experience will be offered.
