We are seeking a reliable and experienced Farm Worker & Tractor Driver to join our team in Meath. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of modern agricultural machinery and assisting with day-to-day farm operations. This is a hands-on role requiring a mix of technical skill, physical stamina, and a proactive attitude toward farm maintenance and animal welfare.Key ResponsibilitiesMachinery Operation: Safely operate tractors and attachments for tasks including ploughing, tilling, sowing, fertiliser application, and slurry spreading.Harvesting & Forage: Lead or assist in silage/hay production and crop harvesting (tillage) depending on the season.Maintenance: Perform daily checks and basic servicing on tractors and implements (greasing, oil changes, cleaning) to ensure minimal downtime.Livestock Support: Assist with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bedding, and moving cattle/sheep as required.General Estate Work: Maintain farm boundaries (fencing, hedge cutting) and ensure the yard and outbuildings are kept clean and compliant with safety standards.Compliance: Maintain accurate records of field activities and chemical applications in line with Meath County Council and Department of Agriculture regulations.Candidate RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 2 years experience operating modern tractors (e.g., John Deere, New Holland, Massey Ferguson) and GPS guidance systems.Licensing: Full, clean Category W (Tractor) or Category B driving license is essential.Technical Skills: Ability to handle heavy machinery and perform minor mechanical repairs.Soft Skills: Must be a "self-starter" capable of working alone for long periods and communicating effectively with the team.Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and late evenings, during peak seasons (Spring/Harvest).Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €27,000.00-€43,718.89 per yearWork Location: In person
