Job Overview
The Incoming QA Inspector is responsible for in-process QA, IQA/MRB, Operator Certification, and Compliance Audits.
Responsibilities
IQA – Inspect manufacturing raw materials and components to assure compliance with specifications; proofread packaging and labeling; coordinate testing; maintain material status and inspection records.
Certification Tests – Prepare and administer tests; review non-conforming materials and report results; keep area and equipment clean and orderly; observe and report deviations from Good Manufacturing Practices.
Non-Conforming Event (NCE) – Identify, issue, and investigate non-conformities; determine root causes; provide corrective/preventive actions; disposition QNs/DCTs; administer MRB process.
Data Tracking – Perform basic data entry and elementary mathematical evaluation of data; assist in evaluating sampling plans and recommend reductions based on statistical analysis of historic data.
Documentation – Maintain accurate inspection records and QA projects; prepare files for document retention; maintain updated procedures and specifications.
Support – Validate, improve processes, and support new material introduction; perform other duties as assigned.
Training & SOPs – Ensure personnel training on SOPs and inspection plans.
Quality System Compliance – Adhere to regulatory and Alcon QS requirements; use root cause analysis tools in NCE investigations.
Qualifications
Education
Minimum: Leaving Cert or equivalent.
Preferred: Certificate or Diploma in a quality-related field.
Experience
Minimum: 1 year in Quality, Technical, or Manufacturing role.
Preferred: 2 years in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry.
Must work quickly and efficiently, comply with regulations, adapt to changing tasks, and maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
