Sanderson is partnering with a leading reinsurance organisation to recruit a talented and detail-focused Senior Financial Accountant to join their expanding finance team, hybrid working in Dublin.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a broad and impactful role, contributing to both financial and regulatory reporting while collaborating closely with underwriting, operations, and senior stakeholders.
As a key member of the finance function, you will play an integral role in supporting core accounting activities, producing high-quality financial outputs, and driving continuous improvements across processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities Carry out reconciliations across reinsurance underwriting systems Oversee retrocession accounting for quota share arrangements, including related cash settlements Partner with reinsurance and MGA teams to analyse and interpret underwriting activity Review and analyse financial performance, contributing to quarterly reporting packs for senior management Prepare and review quarterly financial results in line with US GAAP Support group reporting requirements and regulatory submissions Maintain and strengthen SOX controls and associated documentation Act as a primary liaison for both internal and external audit processes Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required Contribute to finance system upgrades and implementation initiatives Skills & Experience Professionally qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA with at least 3-5 years' post-qualification experience Proven experience within the insurance or reinsurance industry is essential Strong background in reinsurance financial reporting is highly advantageous Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international environment Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II is an advantage For more information, please contact Elaine Liston at Sanderson on or submit your application online.
