About the role
Reports to: RD&A Manager (Bakery Europe)Bakery Scientist Work Environment: Primary: Kerry Global Technology Innovation Centre; Secondary: RDA Centers, Customer Sites
This person will be responsible for managing the technical & application activities related to customer account and actively engaging in proactive NPD presentations forprototype and supporting documents. You will also assist and support other team members and champion internal collaboration.
Key responsibilities

Product Development:

Support application activity for Pan Europe Bakery customers
Prepare samples for various Bakery products – Bread, Biscuits, Cakes, etc.,
Ensure ingredient functionality meets customer requirements in final products.
Assist in troubleshooting application challenges in collaboration with customers.
Participate in internal training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and unique selling points.
Contribute to the rollout of new technologies in partnership with Sales and Marketing teams.


Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed product specifications, standards, and project timelines, any competitive analysis & shelf life studies. Ensure all results are captured. Recorded and filed to ensure availability for future projects.

Qualifications and skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Baking Science & Technology or Bakery & Patisserie Technology or Food Science or a related field,
Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in food product development, preferably in the bakery industry. Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
Skills:

Bakery Application Experience
Good knowledge on Bakery Ingredients & its application
Demonstrate ability to use Bakery processing machinery like Mixer & Oven
Experienced in the upscaling of laboratory experiments in customer’s premises.
Effective Presentation & communication skills and teamwork
Work well in an ambiguous setting; self-motivated; proactive
Desire and willingness for continuous learning


Work Environment:

This position requires working in both laboratory and production environments.
Occasional travel to production facilities, customers and industry conferences will be required.
