Overview
Senior Lead KDB Software Developer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate and Investment Bank Markets technology. You will elevate the Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) electronic trading analytics platform by integrating large volumes of electronic trading data, KDB+ technology, and AWS products. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, including traders and quantitative analysts, to achieve measurable results. You will provide technical leadership on strategic initiatives carried out by the FICC KDB development team.
Job responsibilities
* Drive delivery of FICC KDB business-focused initiatives, balancing immediate demands with strategic engagements.
* Make KDB data accessible to cloud-native apps for research and AI purposes.
* Deliver analytics-centric KDB APIs with a focus on resiliency and performance for internal and external client use, concentrating on Credit, Rates and ETF flows.
* Collaborate with the FICC KDB development leads providing data onboarding, platform core engineering, and SRE services on-premises and in AWS.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Formal training or certification on KDB concepts with proficient advanced experience.
* Thorough understanding of the time series data ecosystem required for building electronic trading analytics and signals.
* Expert in building large-scale KDB platforms processing substantial real-time messages, preferably in FX and Credit markets.
* Strong hands-on Q language experience.
* Fundamental knowledge of electronic trading markets, from market data to order placement.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Proficiency in KDB Insights Microservices.
* Working knowledge of PyKX and Python.
* Experience integrating KDB data with AWS SageMaker, Bedrock and LLM suites.
* Knowledge of AWS compute services and storage tiers.
