Finance Manager
Amicus have been engaged by a well-established hospitality group to assist them recruit an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join a busy hotel in South Dublin. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the financial operations of the hotel, ensuring robust financial management, accurate reporting, and compliance with group policies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with hotel or hospitality experience looking to take ownership of the finance function at a property level, while benefiting from the support and scale of a wider group structure. Would also suit a qualified accountant from a small/medium sized practice looking to make the move to industry.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control
* Oversee the day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and payroll.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and annual budgets.
* Ensure timely submission of financial reports to the group finance team.
* Monitor and control costs, investigate variances, and support departmental cost efficiency.
* Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and local accounting standards.
Team Management
* Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team (2–3 people), ensuring clear goals and performance development.
* Oversee staff scheduling, workload allocation, and training needs.
Business Support
* Work closely with the General Manager and heads of department to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
* Partner with the central revenue and sales teams to analyse pricing, occupancy, and performance KPIs.
* Support capital expenditure planning and investment proposals.
Group Liaison
* Act as the main point of contact between the property and group finance.
* Support group audits, tax filings, and other group-level compliance and reporting activities.
Requirements
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent.
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in finance, preferably in the hospitality or hotel sector.
* Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage, Opera, Sun Systems, or similar).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a larger group structure.
