Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated
Social Care Manager
to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting young people within residential accommodation settings and will have a clear understanding of the complex needs faced by individuals requiring structured social care support.
This role focuses on the delivery of high-quality accommodation support, primary care coordination, and comprehensive social care and social work services, with the aim of promoting safety, stability, integration, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized support plans
* Support young people with accommodation and tenancy-related needs
* Provide social care and social work support, including advocacy and appropriate referrals
* Monitor progress and adapt support plans to ensure evolving needs are effectively met
* Coordinate with external agencies and multidisciplinary professionals
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements
* Lead, support, and supervise staff members
* Participate in reviews, team meetings, and case conferences
* Provide on-call support, including first aid when required
* Ensure compliance with fire safety, health and safety, and emergency procedures
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Care, or a related discipline (e.g. Nursing or Teaching)
* Professional registration or accreditation with the relevant regulatory body (e.g.
CORU in Ireland
)
* Demonstrated experience working with young people or other vulnerable populations
* Strong knowledge of Irish legislation, policies, and social care services
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
* High level of professionalism, motivation, and attention to detail
* Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are an advantage
