About the Role
Three Ireland is seeking a Cyber Risk & Security Architect, a senior position requiring strategic leadership and advanced technical expertise in Information Security. The successful candidate will ensure that Three Ireland's IT and Network systems and services adhere to the highest security standards, industry best practices, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide security architecture aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
2. Develop security standards, best practices, and architectural frameworks for systems, applications, and networks.
3. Oversee the technical delivery of Cyber Security Solutions, including requirements gathering, vendor support, and deployment support.
4. Define and update the strategy for Technology Security, managing security requirements, baselines, and standards.
5. Report on and govern Information Security and Data Protection risks, collaborating with technology teams to mitigate these risks.
6. Manage security incident response processes and communication during recovery operations.
7. Research security threats and incidents, and review risk assessments to implement recommendations.
8. Promote security awareness within the Technology directorate.
9. Oversee security assessments of projects and changes, ensuring high-level risk management.
10. Maintain relationships with Managed Service Providers, monitor security metrics, and ensure compliance with security standards.
11. Support business continuity planning and readiness within technology.
Required Skills and Experience
1. At least 5+ years’ experience in Information Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance within a technology organization.
2. Strong understanding of Cyber Security Design and best practices.
3. Experience presenting to Senior Management and translating technical risks into executive summaries.
4. Proficiency with security assessment tools, threat response, and incident management.
5. Knowledge of application security issues, cloud infrastructures, and relevant frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR.
6. Certifications such as ISO-27001, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, PCI-QSA, or Data Protection Professional are highly desirable.
7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
8. Ability to work autonomously and drive change in a high-performance environment.
