Used Car Sales Executive – Baldoyle, Dublin
Johnson Auto Limited is a used car importer and dealership based in Baldoyle, Dublin. We specialise in sourcing and selling reliable, good‑condition new and used vehicles, including quality imported vehicles from Japan. We are looking for an experienced car sales professional to join our growing team and help drive sales from our yard and online enquiries.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with customers from first enquiry through to vehicle handover. This includes presenting vehicles professionally, understanding customer needs, arranging test drives, explaining vehicle features, handling pricing discussions, following up with leads, and closing sales. You will also assist with online listings, customer communication, vehicle presentation, and maintaining a professional sales environment at the yard.
Key Responsibilities
Handle walk‑in, phone, email, and online sales enquiries.
Sell new and used vehicles from our Baldoyle yard.
Present vehicles clearly and professionally to customers.
Arrange and manage test drives.
Follow up with leads from DoneDeal, Carzone, CarsIreland, and other platforms.
Negotiate professionally and close sales.
Maintain accurate customer records and sales updates.
Assist with vehicle photography, descriptions, and online advertising where required.
Ensure vehicles are well presented and ready for customer viewing.
Build long‑term customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
Key Requirements
Previous car sales experience is strongly preferred.
Good knowledge of used cars, vehicle condition, pricing, and customer expectations.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Confident dealing with customers face‑to‑face and by phone.
Ability to follow up leads consistently and convert enquiries into sales.
Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and commercially minded.
Professional appearance and attitude.
Good basic computer and online listing skills.
Full driving licence preferred.
Experience with Japanese import vehicles would be an advantage but is not essential.
This is a paid position with the opportunity to grow with an expanding used car dealership. The role is suitable for someone who understands the motor trade, enjoys dealing with customers, and can take ownership of the sales process from enquiry to delivery.
