Full time Experienced Account assistant required for financial services company in Kilkenny city (On-site).
Immediate start.
This role will report into the Financial Controller.
Duties of the role will include:
Maintain and record day-to-day financial transactions including sales and purchases
Accounts Payable: Posting invoices, recording payments and reconciliation
Accounts Receivable: Allocation of receipts and investigating outstanding balances
Cashflow reporting
Preparing Payroll and resolving related queries
Assisting with month end procedures
Ensure that all key business reconciliations are carried out in a timely fashion
Assisting with statutory accounts
Additional support to operation's team as required
Ad hoc financial analysis
Available to assist in ad hoc projects
Requirements:
3+ years (post qualification) accounts experience within a similar role
The ideal candidate would be part qualified accountant, experienced bookkeeper, or accounting technician level
Team player
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Ability to communicate well with others – oral and written
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Strong IT skills and experience using accounting software (Sage, Thesaurus etc.)
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to month end deadlines
Takes own initiative
Ability to multitask and work accurately and effectively
Knowledge of the financial services industry an advantage
