Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Wintel Server Engineer / Administrator
to provide direct support to onsite and remote IT users. The role requires strong technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering excellence in customer service, data protection, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support to users for equipment, network, internet, and other technical issues via phone or email.
* Manage and resolve all calls logged through the IT Helpdesk ticketing system.
* Manage relationships with suppliers and external IT service providers, including technical escalations to vendors as required.
* Ensure IT service delivery meets high standards of customer service, data protection, and confidentiality.
Required Skills & Experience (minimum 5 years):
* Microsoft Windows Server administration, including Active Directory Group Policy Management.
* Microsoft Exchange Online administration.
* Microsoft Office 365 administration and management.
* Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise – customised deployment and support.
* Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM).
* Veeam Backup and Replication V12.x.
* Veritas Backup Exec.
* Veritas Desktop and Laptop (DLO) administration.
* Cisco Umbrella (Open DNS) administration and management.
* Checkpoint firewall administration.
* Wireless technologies, including configuration of wireless access points and switches.
* Security issues and protocols relating to wireless and endpoint infrastructure.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Microsoft certification to MCSA level or higher.
* Microsoft Azure certification.
* Qualification in IT service delivery frameworks (e.g., ITIL or equivalent).
* Advanced computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise and Microsoft Office 365.
