Principal Operations Engineer – IGA Cork TeamLocation: Cork, IrelandResponsibilitiesExecute processes for incident management, change management, problem resolution, and continuous improvement for Identity Governance platforms.Continuously monitor IAM identity governance systems performance and health to ensure optimal operation.Perform regular maintenance tasks to prevent issues.Respond promptly to system alerts and incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to restore services quickly.Manage and maintain all components of IAM identity governance systems and keep systems up to date with patches and security updates.Analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements.Implement changes to enhance system efficiency and reduce downtime.Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports.Provide regular status updates and reports to management.Work closely with other IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless operation of services.Communicate effectively to resolve issues and implement changes.Assess current system capacity, plan for future growth, and allocate resources efficiently.Provide technical support related to Identity services and respond to audit and compliance requests.Develop and implement solutions to resolve identified problems, ensuring they are tested and validated before deployment.Perform detailed root‑cause analysis, document findings, and implement corrective actions.Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices for problem management.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.At least 3 years of experience in Identity and Access Management with a strong focus on Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).Experience with IT service management (ITIL) and fundamental security principles.Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Identity Manager, Entra ID, and/or SailPoint.Experience developing solutions with PowerShell, Python, NodeJS, PHP, or other scripting languages.Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills, adaptable to diverse audiences.Ability to work with a distributed and virtual team.Understanding of common services used in cloud‑based architecture, with experience in AWS and/or Azure.Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are a plus.EEO StatementLilly is a fully inclusive and diverse employer.
