Health and Safety Expertise
As a key team member, you will be responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in line with current and future relevant legislation and industry best practices.
Key responsibilities include serving as a trusted advisor on health and safety matters to internal stakeholders, facilitating effective consultation through engagement with Safety Committees and Representatives, and managing comprehensive HSE training programs. Additionally, you will conduct regular audits and risk assessments, oversee emergency plans, and provide health and safety reports to Senior Management.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in Health and Safety or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a third-level qualification and at least 2-3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in a manufacturing sector environment. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and have problem-solving skills and innovation.
* A third-level qualification in Health & Safety or similar
* At least 2-3 years of on-site Safety Officer experience (manufacturing sector advantage)
* Experience in risk assessment and a strong understanding of Irish and EU health and safety legal requirements
* Competent auditor and training experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-starter with problem-solving skills and innovation
