JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Shared Services Centre in Cherrywood Business Park, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin. Reporting to the Team Lead, the successful candidate will manage financial accounting for one or more entities within the EMEA region, working with our outsourced partners.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Handle daily and monthly financial activities under US GAAP
* Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with FRS102
* Manage internal and external audits to ensure timely completion
* Perform analytics to verify the accuracy of financial data
* Collaborate with internal teams to address project needs from new industry developments or process gaps
* Coordinate with internal parties to meet reporting deadlines
* Review UK and Irish VAT, CSO, and intrastate returns
* Prepare and review UK corporate tax returns
* Complete SOX controls in line with control matrix
* Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders
* Oversee outsourced business partners
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* Professional accounting qualification from a recognized body (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA), preferably with Big Four training
* 2-3 years of business experience, ideally within a Shared Service Centre or multinational corporation
* Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems is desirable
* Experience in preparing Financial Statements is preferred
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to independently understand and summarize financial data into high-quality reports
* Proficiency in MS Office applications
