In this role, you'll make decisions on large and complex risks while developing deep technical and medical expertise.

Responsibilities Assess new applications and determine medical and financial requirements in line with company philosophy Evaluate complex medical and financial risks, including large case management Liaise with Chief Medical Officer and reinsurers Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Communicate effectively with brokers, employers, customers, and medical professionals Qualifications At least 4-5 years of relevant underwriting experience Strong analytical reasoning and decision‑making capabilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Commercial awareness and customer‑focused mindset Organised approach with a positive, solution‑focused attitude Knowledge of risk, control, and regulatory requirements Interest in developments in underwriting and protection topics Broad systems and data analysis skills Diploma in Life & Disability Underwriting DLDU or working towards equivalent qualification For more details, contact Elaine Liston at Sanderson on 086 351 6302 or apply online today.
