About the Role
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing daily operations, ensuring production targets are met, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, along with experience in manufacturing and continuous improvement practices. The role includes the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate staffing and production schedules in collaboration with team leads and other supervisors;
2. Ensure continuous material supply by liaising with stores, purchasing, and external suppliers;
3. Monitor production targets using KPIs and resolve issues related to quality, performance, equipment, and staffing;
4. Manage planned staff absences and contribute to monthly and quarterly reviews with HR;
5. Oversee team development, training, and support a flexible, multifunctional team structure;
6. Promote a positive team culture through regular meetings and proactive issue resolution;
7. Enforce quality standards and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements;
8. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, maintain a clean and organised work area, and update production metrics regularly.
Requirements
9. Work experience as a team leader/ supervisor in a manufacturing environment;
10. Strong understanding of production processes, including quality control and improvement methodologies;
11. Strong communication skills and the ability to support, guide, and motivate your team;
12. Confidence in identifying and solving problems quickly to avoid delays or issues;
13. The ability to follow clear assembly instructions, processes, and procedures accurately.
14. Familiarity with manufacturing standards, including regulatory and documentation requirements.
