A well-established production site in the North Midlands of Ireland, providing product solutions to a loyal customer base across FMCG sectors, is looking to appoint a Head of Manufacturing.
The Opportunity:
The Head of Manufacturing will be an energetic, results-oriented leader responsible for overall manufacturing performance at the facility. This includes production efficiency, workforce effectiveness, quality, health & safety, cost management and ongoing process improvements.
This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who leads by example, takes ownership, holds teams accountable and promotes a professional culture where employees take pride in their work and environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing full manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal production, quality, safety and cost control.
Directing daily activities, holding teams accountable and addressing operational issues using real-time performance data.
Leading Continuous Improvement initiatives, implementing LEAN practices and optimising plant processes.
Ensures maintenance is completed on time in full.
Ensuring full compliance with ISO standards, GMP and health, safety and environmental regulations.
Recruiting, mentoring and motivating the production team while maintaining a safe and high-standard workplace.
Building a culture of operational excellence, discipline and pride on the production floor.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking a candidate with:
Significant senior manufacturing leadership experience (minimum 5 years) with site-wide accountability.
Strong expertise in LEAN principles, Continuous Improvement and operational best practices.
Outstanding people management, communication and team leadership skills.
A visible, hands‑on leadership style with a high-performance.
Proven experience in driving safety improvements and ensuring compliance adherence.
Engineering, manufacturing or scientific qualification or equivalent practical experience.
