Role: Accounts Assistant
Location: Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork
Salary: Negotiable DOE

Roles and responsibilities
· Assist in closing out month end procedures including posting of all monthly transactions including bank postings, accruals, fixed assets and prepayments
· Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and take appropriate actions to clear all reconciling items
· Assist in preparing bi-monthly management accounts and reports
· Assist in preparing the submissions of monthly tax returns (VAT, PAYE, RCT etc.)
· Assist procurement team in accurate recording of purchase orders
· Support the statutory audit process.
· Contribute to the development of new accounting / ERP systems, programs, and procedures.
· Record credit card transactions and reconcile to monthly statements
· Perform monthly vendor balance reconciliations to vendor statements
· Assist finance team members with various tasks and projects as they arise
· Ad Hoc assignments as required
Requirements
· Accountancy/Business Qualification and/or commenced a recognised accountancy course or qualified through experience
· Ability to meet weekly / monthly deadlines.
· Ability to work flexibly on own initiative and as part of a team.
· Strong attention to detail and process
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
· Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Experience working within a busy Finance department.
· Experience with SAP accounting system preferable
