About Your New Job:
We are currently recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel to join a high-performing in-house legal team. This role will act as a key strategic advisor to the business, delivering commercially focused legal guidance aligned with organisational objectives.
You will support a wide range of business functions, particularly in consumer-facing activities such as marketing, advertising, digital communications, and product offerings. The role also involves advising on regulatory frameworks, intellectual property, and commercial agreements in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

What You Will Do:
Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice on marketing campaigns, advertising, digital media, promotions, sponsorships, and customer communications
Ensure compliance with consumer protection laws, advertising standards, and relevant regulatory codes
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements across marketing, media, and technology functions
Review consumer-facing terms, promotional mechanics, and campaign claims for legal and regulatory compliance
Advise on intellectual property matters including trademarks, copyright, licensing, and brand protection
Support media partnerships, content licensing, and agency agreements
Provide guidance on regulatory obligations impacting consumer services (e.g. pricing, transparency, contract terms, service quality)
Interpret and implement regulatory requirements, codes, and guidelines relevant to the sector
Partner with internal compliance and regulatory teams to ensure effective risk management and governance
Manage legal matters and external counsel, including budget oversight and cost-effective delivery of legal services
Support dispute resolution and legal proceedings where required
Who You Are:
Qualified solicitor/barrister with 7+ years’ PQE in commercial, regulatory, consumer, media, or technology law
Strong experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial and marketing-related agreements
In-depth knowledge of consumer protection, e-commerce, and advertising regulations within a regulated environment
Experience advising on intellectual property matters (trademarks, copyright, licensing)
Strong understanding of competition law principles as applied in a commercial setting
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience advising senior business leaders
Proven ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities
Effective communicator, able to simplify complex legal issues in a commercial context
Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams
Nice to Have:
Experience advising within a regulated communications or technology sector
Knowledge of financial regulation in relation to digital or mobile-based products
Understanding of data protection and privacy in marketing and customer communications
Experience with digital platforms, e-commerce, influencer marketing, or online consumer journeys
Broader knowledge of market regulation and pricing practices
