Chef de Partie - Monkstown
Job Specification
A Chef de Partie is responsible for preparing food, dishes, and recipes according to Avoca standards and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards in food hygiene, service, and presentation (HACCP & Health & Safety Legislation).
* Assist with menu planning and costing to meet budgeted gross profit margins, minimizing waste.
* Assist with food orders, ensuring suppliers are from the approved list.
* Ensure daily completion of Food Safety/Quality records in the kitchen.
* Lead the team to deliver high-quality food for clients.
* Check, probe, and sign off on all food deliveries to ensure quality.
* Ensure food presentation is innovative and temperature logs are maintained.
* Assist with stock takes and review the kitchen hazard list weekly.
* Maintain good communication with clients, customers, and staff.
Key Requirements:
* Relevant culinary qualification or experience.
* 1-2 years' experience in a professional kitchen.
* Experience with H.A.C.C.P. documentation and menu planning.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* High standards of personal hygiene and professional manner.
* Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
