The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to join a dynamic and collaborative operations environment.
This role will play a critical part in enhancing manufacturing performance through the delivery of engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will focus on improving yield, quality, and operational efficiency through structured project delivery and lean methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver engineering projects that support new product introductions, process improvements, and strategic initiatives
Drive improvements in manufacturing yield, product quality, and operational efficiency
Analyse technical challenges and develop innovative, practical solutions across a range of complexity levels
Prepare and present clear technical reports, data analysis, and recommendations
Apply engineering principles and best practices to problem solving and decision making
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Operations, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Procurement
Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
Lead project teams where required, defining scope, objectives, and ensuring successful execution
Support onboarding, coaching, and mentoring of engineering staff
Provide technical expertise and guidance on key engineering and process issues
Participate in validation activities, including protocol/report development and execution oversight
Engage with customers and represent engineering capabilities where appropriate
Candidate Profile
Degree qualified (Level 7 NFQ or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, methodologies, and practices
Experience in project management and continuous improvement (Lean experience advantageous)
Demonstrated problem-solving capability with a structured and analytical approach
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams
Motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and development
