We are seeking a commercially minded Accounting professional to join our team as a key player in driving cost efficiencies and delivering performance insights. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within FMCG or food production for retail customers.
This is not a standard back-office position, but rather a critical role that requires strong business partnering skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to leverage tools like Excel (advanced), Power BI, and financial modelling tools to drive decisions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Acting as a true business partner to the Site GM and leadership team, embedding a proactive, margin-focused mindset across the shop floor.
* Delivering robust cost analysis, margin tracking, and variance reporting to influence smart commercial decisions.
* Owning and evolving the standard costing process, including full rebuilds, ongoing monitoring, and scenario modelling.
* Leading financial input into operational performance reviews and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Providing deep-dive analysis into labour, overheads, and production costs and turning numbers into actions.
* SUPPORTING THE BUDGETING AND FORECASTING PROCESS WITH REAL-TIME DATA AND FORWARD-LOOKING INSIGHTS.
* Collaborating with IT and supply chain teams to improve inventory visibility and system integration.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A professional accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
* Strong ERP knowledge and the ability to leverage tools like Excel (advanced), Power BI, and financial modelling tools to drive decisions.
* A sharp, analytical mindset with a bias for action and results.
* A track record of influencing across departments finance, ops, and beyond.
