Accounts Assistant – Dublin (Hybrid)
Location: Dublin 2 | Hybrid
Type: 1 year contract with option of renewal
Languages: Fluent German required- C1 minimum
A leading global energy investment firm is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their Dublin finance team.
Reporting to the VP of Finance, this is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, international environment supporting day-to-day finance operations and strategic planning across multi-currency entities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process supplier invoices and prepare bank payments
* Reconcile bank accounts, accruals, prepayments, tax accounts, and other balance sheet items
* Prepare and reconcile intercompany cost allocations
* Assist in monthly management reporting and ensure accurate financial records across entities
* Liaise with third-party providers and oversee service levels
* Support budget preparation and financial forecasting
* Provide general administrative and financial support to the wider team
* Create reporting outputs to support financial projections at entity, investment, and project level
Requirements:
* Part-qualified Chartered Accountant or qualified Accounting Technician
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy finance department
* Fluent German (spoken and written) is essential
* Advanced Excel skills and confidence navigating accounting software
* Meticulous attention to detail with excellent reconciliation abilities
* Strong communicator with experience in cross-functional, multi-national environments
* Comfortable working autonomously and managing competing deadlines
* Experience working with multi-currency entities is preferred
