Job Overview

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of accounting tasks, including high volume invoice processing, month-end accounts preparation, VAT and other tax returns, financial reporting, profit and loss, reconciliations, supplier account creation, query resolution, and assistance with payroll where cover is required.
* Process invoices and ensure timely payment to suppliers
* Prepare and review month-end accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
* Manage VAT and other tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
* Produce regular financial reports, providing insights into company performance
* Analyze profit and loss statements, identifying areas for improvement
* Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and transparency
* Create and manage supplier accounts, ensuring efficient payment processes
* Resolve queries and issues arising from accounting tasks
* Provide support with payroll when required
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the Irish market
* A part-qualification (ACCA, CIMA or similar) or working towards one
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* A valid driving licence and own transport due to remote location
