Key Responsibilities:
* Person-Centred Support: Provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting independence and community participation.
* Daily Living Tasks: Assist with personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household duties.
* MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION: Administer or assist with medication in accordance with guidelines and training.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
* Emergency Response: Respond effectively to the needs of service users, including during challenging behaviour or emergency situations.
* Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Registration: Be registered in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by CORU or hold a CORU-approved qualification and have applied for registration.
* Work Eligibility: Eligible to work in Ireland (most hold a valid work permit or EU/IRP 1G, 4).
* Experience: Experience in disability or residential care preferred but not essential.
* Driver's Licence: Full clean driver's licence advantageous.
* Garda Vetting: Garda Vetting or willingness to undergo vetting.
* Attitude: Kind, patient, and professional attitude with a person-centred approach.
