Your new role
As Production Area Manager for the sub-assembly function, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing all operational activity within your designated area.
You will lead and develop production teams, ensuring daily output meets quality, safety and delivery targets.
You will drive lean manufacturing principles across the operation, managing workflow, controlling inventory, ensuring equipment is maintained, and embedding best practice processes.
Your responsibilities will include performance management, coaching teams, monitoring KPIs, problem solving, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires strong leadership, robust decision making, and a hands-on approach to achieving operational excellence.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven people management or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to lead teams effectively and maintain high performance standards.
Strong communication, organisational and planning skills are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
A practical understanding of lean manufacturing techniques such as flow, level pull, TAKT time and continuous improvement is required, alongside strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience with MRP systems, inventory control and problem solving within a fast-paced environment will support your success.
