The Role:
We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and highly organised Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a range of engaging and stimulating activities designed to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine residents' interests, needs, and abilities.
Develop and execute a monthly activities calendar tailored to our residents' preferences.
Facilitate group and individual activities, ensuring they are accessible to all, including those with physical or cognitive limitations.
Manage activity budgets and resources effectively.
Maintain accurate records and documentation pertaining to resident participation and activity outcomes.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff to optimise the impact of the activities program.
Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare or social care setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for older people.
First Aid certification is a plus.
A background in healthcare, social work, or event planning is advantageous.
