The Role
Hilltop Community Resources seeks a Care Specialist to support our Assisted Living Communities by providing medication administration, communication with residents, and assistance with daily tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that aligns with Hilltop's values.
Administer medications according to physician orders and verify against the Medications Administration Record.
Follow the rights of medication administration process (right medication, right resident, right dose, right time, right route, right reason, and right documentation).
Promote positive customer relations by learning resident names, acknowledging residents and visitors, answering phone calls, and providing facility information.
Follow all corporate, program, and state medication administration policies, procedures, and regulations.
Monitor narcotic medications, count assigned narcotics, and maintain accurate counts before transferring medication cart.
Complete assigned documentation promptly, accurately, and legibly within prescribed timelines.
Report medication errors immediately and complete required error documentation.
Clean assigned medication carts at end of shift.
Respond to radio, pager, and resident request system.
Perform additional Care Specialist duties as needed.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus six months of related work experience preferred (not required).
Minimum age 18.
For QMAP Care Specialist: Valid QMAP certification required.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
CPR Certificate / First Aid Certificate (preferred).

Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA) Check
Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) Exclusion List
Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test
